Maybe Someday (PrussiaxReader)

Gilbert Beilschmidt was busy sleeping, until his alarm woke him up abruptly. "Oh shit!" He yelled as he flung to his alarm to shut it off. He sat on the edge of his bed, fully dressed (he slept in his clothes from the day before) until his two dog ran into his room jumping on his bed. "Okay, okay, I'll take you guys for a walk," Gilbert laughed.

He stood up and walked to his bathroom to brush his teeth. He smiled at his reflection and ran downstairs. Gilbert locked both his dogs on leashes and led them outside. As they walked through the neighborhood, he stopped at an Ice Cream truck and got something for himself.

They walked to a nearby park, and Gilbert sat down on a bench while his dogs sniffed around. He eventually looked up to find the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. She smiled at him as she walked by. The girl lived a few blocks away from him. Her name was [Name].

Gilbert almost ran home and immediately let the dogs off their leashes. He ran upstairs to his room, rushing past Ludwig who stopped him.

"Bruder? Are you okay?" He asked. Gilbert turned around with a large grin.

"I'm fine, just saw [Name], and didn't know how pretty she really was until now!" Gilbert then continued up to his room as his brother shook his head. The Prussian stopped at his mirror to see what he looked like, he didn't check before.

Gilbert was wearing faded skinny jeans, old converse, and a "Ghost-Buster" t-shirt. He thought he looked pretty good, but [Name] was more of the preppy type.

The distance between us is driving me crazy! (Crazy!)
Girl did you ever think that…

Gilbert walked back into his room and pushed his bed off the side. He got an old video camera from the garage and set it up. He turned it on and started singing,

"Maybe I'd be perfect for you!

I know you don't feel the same way,
But maybe someday!

While singing, Gilbert was doing crazy dance moves and at one point, slipped at fell.

He turned off the camera and took the tape out. He decorated the label and with "Maybe Someday" and drew smiley faces and rainbows on it. Gilbert then sat at his desk and wrote [Name] a letter.

I wrote you a letter cuz'
I can't explain the way that I'm feeling,
Everytime I'm around you,
I can't even breathe.

Gilbert folded the letter up and placed it on top of the video tape. He sat on his bed and stared at the wall, thinking of [Name].

So I'll sit alone in my bedroom

Until then I guess I'll just wait for you.
The distance between us is driving me crazy…

Gilbert soon got up, grabbed the letter and the tape, his bike, and rode to [Name]'s house. He placed the tape in front of her door – with the letter – rang the doorbell and rode back home. She opened the door with the smile, and when she saw no one, she looked down to see the tape. She picked it up and went back inside.

She put the tape in an old VCR and pressed play. She saw Gilbert dancing and singing and couldn't help but laugh.

Once Gilbert got home, he had an awesome idea. He ran to his garage and started to build a huge light up sign that had the words "Maybe Someday" on it.

He took the light up sign to [Name]'s house and set it up in the street. He took a laser pointer and shined it into her window. Once she came up to the window, Gilbert turned on the sign so she could see it. [Name]'s face lit up like the sign and she signaled for someone to come over to the window. Gilbert looked at the sign and back up to see Arthur Kirkland standing in the window with [Name]. Arthur kissed her cheek and Gilbert turned off the sign. He rode home on his bike mad.

Gilbert woke up, realizing it was all a dream and shrugged. It was a pretty good idea.
